The lecture topic was continuing on from last week about presenting us with ideas on how to present our pitch document for next week's mid-term review, as well as polishing and making it look professional. I will attempt to finish my pitch doc by early next week, so I have enough time to do practice runs as I do get extremely nervous before presentations and giving speeches.
In the group critique, I only have about 3 pages completed, the rest where in mid-stage production, the tutors went through every slide I had and gave feedback and tips on how to perfect it. As I had learnt from the lectures and looking at presentation examples, I made sure to stay clear from lots of text as much as possible. I showed some of the diagrams that I was working on that I planned to put in the presentation to get the feedback on that as well, I hope I get a chance when I'm finished to get a tutor to quickly look over it. One of the major changes I needed to make was the background needed to less clearer so the audience will focus on what's in front of it, and another change was the font, as I had made it myself some of the letter's looked weird and out of place, I went to use a font website to get the style I was looking for.
Background Pic, first try, was going for a piece that looked similar to the chest reaction that power's Tony Stark's Iron Man suit.
Characters and there stats
Original title page, this was my first design, which I later scrapped because I hadn't finished with the characters yet. I was also told there is to much happening in this piece.
Original Text title's which I made myself, but the v's and the m's look awful, I'm glad I was told to scrap this design, some of the letter's don't match with the others.
Game over and level complete screen's which where simple enough to create, with the characters getting paint overs.
The ammo, health and upgrade boxes, which will be placed throughout the level. These where simple paintings created to get an idea of what it'll look like in game.
Level layout and Icons to show the map of my level and what my game involves.
Character sketch's finished.
